Baiului Mountains Ridge from Azuga to Sinaia | Ski Touring

Baiului Ridge from Azuga to Sinaia is one of the most beautiful ski touring route you can do in the Romanian Mountains! The Baiului Mountains are not very high (the highest point is Baiul Mare Peak 1895m) and because of this you have very few days with good snow for skiing! This week it snowed a lot in Romania and I took advantage of this unique opportunity! We enjoyed a lot of pow in Baiului and it seems that we were also "pioneers" ... the snow was untouched! We started from Azuga, where we chose to go up with gondola to the ridge and then continued the route to Sinaia. Once you reach the Baiului ridge, the landscape is breathtaking! If you catch a day with no clouds or fog you will have an awesome view to the Bucegi Mountains, and you can even see the Grohotiș and Ciucaș Mountains!
