The first day of my Experience on Monte Rosa - Italian Alps! We started the expedition from Valle D'Ayas to Rif Guide D'Ayas 3425m, the route having an average duration of 5h30m.
We had beautiful landscapes, the contrast between the green of the forest and the white of the snow was perfect! We tried to enjoy to the fullest every bit of the route, (I knew that for 4-5 days we will be surrounded only by snow, ice, crevices, cold, wind, etc.) during the route we made a single stop for food near a beautiful glacial lake.
Even though the water was cold we couldn't resist and bathed our tired feet in water. It was a dream ...
Arriving at the first refuge, Rif Guide D'Ayas 3425m, we were impressed by the excellent conditions found there, the clean and welcoming rooms and very good food!
